What is this Nature's Office Blog All About?

Thank you for visiting the Forth Volume in the Living a Fantasy Series Titled: Nature's Office.

Follow behind-the-scenes as a Geographical Information Systems Cartographic Specialist who also happens to be an Ecological Restoration Technician tackles and participates in new and challenging environmental restoration projects. Projects include but are not limited to Controlled Prairie Burns, Forestry and Tree Maintenance, Species Tracking, Property Mapping, Fish Stocking, Prairie Seeding, Public Outreach, and many other fun jobs that come about in the world of Ecological Restoration.

This series will provide an insider's look as to what is actively being done to restore ecological habitat while combating the machine of commercial development, greed, and the lack of natural awareness. This blog will also be a space to share CP's personal nature photography and looks to be a doorway to discuss ecological management, restoration practices, and natural geologic history.

Because Nature is much less appreciated by the general public than, say, gaming, entertainment, movies, sports ball events, and pop culture, those of us who know and are passionate about nature are always excited to meet others who share the same passion.  This blog is designed to give us a chance to interact, share our stories, and have frank discussions about the challenges associated with managing and restoring the natural world.

Within these posts, I will share my photos, experiences and ideas, but truthfully hope that you, the reader, will share your thoughts and interests as well. I hope that it also functions as an awareness gateway for others who haven’t yet realized that despite all of the accomplishments the human race has achieved, we owe our continued existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil, combined with the fact that it rains mated with the beauty, warmth, and light of the sun.

Nature is CP's office of choice and getting paid to do something you truly love can in-fact be an achievable fantasy. So whether you’re a registered nature nut or a simply a passerby-er – welcome.  And thanks for stopping by.
